Throughout more than one decade of its existence, summer festival 4 Elements (4 živly) (in August) developed into one of the most significant Slovak events in the field of cinematography. The combination of important factors, such as high-quality production from entire world, interesting guests, supporting events, interiors and exteriors of Banská Štiavnica, makes the festival 4 Elements (4 živly) a unique experience. Along with projections in Akademik cinema, renowned projections are also shown in a local open-air amphitheatre, Botanical garden and Starý zámok castle (Old Castle) of Banská Štiavnica. Winter version of the workshop (in February) is of more intimate character, thus allowing visitors to enjoy the atmosphere of offered films, as well as winter Banská Štiavnica, even more.
