Tourist-educational trail with 19 stops around Paradajz hill, the highest peak of the Hodrušské highlands, informs its visitors about the geological structure and the evolution of the Štiavnické Mountains, including the history of mining and geological research.
The beginning and the end of the trail is in the Červená Studňa saddle. There are benches, sightseeing spots with panoramic maps and pyramids of rock samples located on the route. There are also two wells with drinking water and a resting place. The tables inform about the geological structure and evolution of the Štiavnické Mountains, ancient mining and its impact on the environment. The language of geology is professional and several tables are missing, but the view is worth it.
The 4.2 km long trail is easy, with an elevation gain of 140 m. It will take you about 2 hours. The trail is available year-round. You can even attend it on skis in winter.
